The senator representing Niger East, Senator Sani Musa has refuted a report that he was working with the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan on 10th National Assembly senate president project.
Musa’s reaction followed a report by Vanguard that he was said to have joined Lawan’s camp with other stakeholders to assist the outgoing senate president who was said to have joined the race win it.
The senator who called the paper to rebut the report said it was already public knowledge that he was running for deputy senate president but had to jettison his ambition following the nomination of Senator Jubrin Barau by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) even though his North central zone was not at home with the party’s resolve.
“I am vying for the office of deputy senate president. This is not a new thing. It’s known everywhere. Barau is said to have been nominated by the party. But we in the north central have appealed to the party. The president-elect returned on Saturday and I had a meeting with him.
